One of the considerations for me when I was deciding whether to leave the company I was working for, and strike out on my own, was the industry reliance, across the board, on CAD software. The software package used by most companies, it seemed (begins with 'A' but I won't mention them here) was a hefty figure to lay out, even for a 12-month subscription. So, I found my way to use various authorised, and unauthorised, CAD packages all with varying degrees of success but they were all incomplete or glitchy.
I came upon an advert for ProgeCAD in 2017 and looked into it. I downloaded the 30-day trial and was blown away. The 'command structure' and 'tools' are instantly recognisable and it soon proved itself to be exactly what I needed.
I spoke to Axonware who answered my queries promptly and efficiently and then I bought Perpetual Licence - no having to rely on 12-month subscriptions. Since then I have upgraded twice and now run ProgeCAD 2024. I am sure I only use a fraction of its' capabilities but can't think of a single discipline where CAD is a feature in which ProgeCAD wouldn't be an excellent choice.
There are real people available for you to chat with whatever your concern may be. I am kept up-to-date with new developments and if I want to upgrade I can, and if I don't.....I don't. I feel supported NOT pressured. I have recommended ProgeCAD to all of my colleagues in the construction industry and they have been able to save themselves considerable sums by signing up.
If you are undecided, please take up the option of the 30-day trial, I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed.
